Climbing is a sport that can be practised indoors or outdoors in Millau.
It’s a sport that allows you to exercise in the fresh air, in a natural environment.
Roc et Canyon offers you a half-day outing in the Gorges de la Dourbie.

Millau climbing
Around Millau, you’ll find some great climbing sites, including the Gorges de la Dourbie (on the Boffi site), the Gorges de la Jonte and the famous Gorges du Tarn.
These sites offer a wide range of routes for both beginners and experienced climbers.
At Roc et Canyon, your guide will introduce you to the joys of climbing at our La Poujade climbing site, 15 minutes from Millau. You’ll need concentration, determination and confidence to get started on the different routes, all safely supervised by your guide and belay partner.
Several options are available:
– Bouldering (up to 4 metres high).
– Roped climbs (from 5 to 30 metres).
– Multi-pitch routes (up to 140 metres high)

What equipment do I need for climbing ?
You need to bring: sportswear, a snack, water, sun cream, climbing shoes (if you have them).
We provide: climbing harness, rope, climbing shoes (if you don’t have any).
Where ?
At our la Poujade site 15 minutes from Millau.
How long ?
The activity lasts half a day.
What are the conditions for taking part ?
Participants must be at least 6 years of age.
Are there any contraindications ?
Yes, the main contraindications are: cardiovascular disease, total pneumonectomy, epilepsy, balance disorders, rheumatic diseases, pregnancy after the 3rd month, etc.

The Parc Naturel des Grands Causses is one of the world’s most famous rock-climbing areas, and one of the reasons for Millau’s reputation as a great destination for outdoor sports.
It owes its popularity in large part to its softly sculpted limestone rock.
Some of the routes are over 50 metres high; a dream come true for all climbing enthusiasts.
This all-round sport brings together challenge, respect for nature and fellow climbers, confidence, concentration, mental strength and determination.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, climbing offers an unlimited playground for everyone to enjoy this aerial sport.

Millau Climbing: vertical experiences to feast your eyes on.
– Giant abseiling :
Many sites offer magnificent abseils of up to 120 metres. This sensational activity is a real experience.
You are able to control your speed so that you can descend confidently and safely.
Your guide will give you all the advice you need to make the most of your activity. Once you’ve settled into your harness, admire the view during the descent – you’ll see some magnificent scenery and a few vultures flying overhead.
Abseils can range from 30 to 120 metres high.
– Green canyon :
Also known as the dry canyon, come along with our team to discover rivers carved out of the rock, with a mineral landscape right in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn.
Wearing a helmet and harness, your guide will show you the dry canyons.
This activity combines hiking, adventure, and abseiling with climbing and canyoning techniques.
