How easy is it to get to the canyons ?

These are exceptional places, so they’re worth the trek !
How long does it take to canoe 8 km on the Dourbie?
A simple and effective summary 😉
Dourbie :
- 5 km (about 1h30)
- 8 km (approx 2h – 2h30)
- 13 km (about 3h)
- 17 km (about 4h)
Tarn :
- 9 km (approx 1h30 – 2h)
- 12 km (approx 2h – 2h30)
What's the difference between the Vallon des Tyroliennes and the Aventure Verticale ?
These two Via Ferratas were created by Roc et Canyon. They are therefore closed to the public and only accessible when supervised by one of our guides. The difference between the two is the level of difficulty.
The Vallon des Tyroliennes is a Via Ferrata accessible to all levels (beginner to advanced). It’s a mix between a high ropes course and Via Ferrata, with monkey bridges, nets, suspended steps and, above all, numerous zip lines (up to 300 metres long).
The Aventure Verticale is a more difficult Via Ferrata. It is a more vertical one and only suitable for experienced climbers.
What's the difference between canyoning without ropes and canyoning ?
Canyoning without ropes is an activity reserved for people aged 8 or over who are able to swim. Canyoning without ropes is a mix of water trekking, natural slides and jumps which are several metres high. If the jumps feel too intimidating, you should know that none of them are compulsory !
Canyoning is an activity reserved for people aged 12 or over who can swim. This is a more intense activity, so it’s reserved for more sporty and experienced participants. You’ll find lots of jumps (up to 10 metres), natural slides and abseiling.
Which canoe route should I choose ?
Dourbie or Tarn ?
It all depends on what you want to do on your trip. If you’re looking for scenic beauty, with beaches for picnic breaks, the Dourbie is the river for you. The choice of route is simple: 5 and 8 km for a fun ride with children (aged 5 and over and able to swim) and 13 or 17 km for a more challenging outing with older children (aged 12 and over and able to swim). If you’re looking for a leisurely, cultural trail, head for the Tarn. You’ll love going under the Millau Viaduct! 9 km or 12 km? The only difference is the length… the choice is yours !
What is the range of an E-MTB battery ?
Our batteries have a range of 500 watt hours. The battery life depends on the mode you’re using (economy to turbo), the length of your planned outing and the terrain you’ve chosen.
For example, if you’re planning a 25 km ride in turbo mode, you’ll only be able to use the E-MTB for half a day.
Is a deposit required for equipment hire ?
Yes, only for the hire of mountain bikes, E-MTBs and Via Ferrata equipment.
On the day of the activity, you will be asked to bring a means of payment for the deposit (credit card, cheque) as well as proof of identity (National Identity Card, Driving Licence, Passport).
How long do supervised activities last ?
Supervised activities last half a day. You should expect to spend between 2h30 and 3 hours doing the actual activity.
