Embark on a calm and pleasant descent. Start just above the village of Massebiau.

A more challenging trail offering sections with rapids that make it more technical. Starts at the Poujade site.

17km DOURBIE : approx. 4h
A long, technical route starting from the Moulin de Corp, 2 kilometres from the village of La Roque-Sainte-Marguerite at the foot of the Causse Noir plateau.

9km Tarn : approx. 2h30
Depart from our outdoor activity centre and embark on a relaxing trip along a trail which borders Millau town centre, finishing under the Millau Viaduct.

12km Tarn : approx. 3 hours
Set off from our outdoor activity centre for a trip on the Tarn river. You can continue your expedition for a few kilometres and pass through the village of Peyre, listed as one of the "most beautiful villages of France".
From €25 per person (including boat, life jacket, paddle and helmet).

17km Intégrale: approx. 5 hours
The best of both … rivers ! This 17-kilometre trail allows you to plan a day out with your friends or family, as the 8 km on the Dourbie and the 9 km on the Tarn offer a simple route that's accessible to children aged 5 and over. To round off this wonderful day out, take a picnic and stop for a bite to eat or a swim at one of the wild beaches along the two rivers.

Which canoeing route should you choose in Millau and the surrounding area?
Dourbie or Tarn ?
It all depends on what you want to do on your trip.
If you’re looking for a scenic route, with beaches for picnic breaks, the Dourbie is the river for you.
The choice of route is simple:
5 and 8 km for a fun outing with kids (aged 5 and over and able to swim). 13 and 17 km for a more challenging route with older children (aged 12 and over and able to swim).
If you’re looking for a leisurely, cultural outing, head for the Tarn.
You’ll love going under the Millau Viaduct ! 9 or 12 km ?
The only difference is the length… it’s up to you !

Transport is included for canoeing activities.
How does transport work for canoeing?
There are two options, depending on your choice of route.
For the Dourbie: meet at the Roc et Canyon outdoor activity centre and we’ll take you to the start of your trail. Your canoe trip ends in front of the Roc et Canyon centre.
For the Tarn: Leave from the Roc et Canyon outdoor activity centre with your canoe … and we’ll pick you up at the finish point.
What equipment do I need for canoeing / paddling?
You should bring a swimming costume, trainers or water shoes, a snack, water, sun cream and sunglasses. We provide: canoe-kayak, one double-bladed paddle per person, waterproof container, lifejacket, helmet.
Is it possible to hire waterproof containers?
Waterproof containers are supplied and included in the hire price. There are two sizes (small or large), enough to hold some clothes, a picnic or other items.
Are dogs allowed on the canoes ?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Roc et Canyon. However, it is advisable to remain very vigilant as you can find the presence of Cyanobacteria in the Dourbie and Tarn rivers. This bacterium is dangerous for animals. For more information, click here: https://www.tarn-amont.fr/cyanobacteries/.

Where can you canoe around Millau ?
– The Gorges de la Dourbie: a canoeing paradise in Millau
The Gorges de la Dourbie are located in the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. They offer an ideal playground for canoeing in Millau thanks to their magnificent wild landscapes.
The river begins in the Gard department, winds its way between the Causse du Larzac and the Causse Noir before ending its course in Millau, which is the ideal base from which to hire a canoe.
It is here that the river joins the Tarn. The river is both calm and serene, due to its natural surroundings, and exciting thanks to its rapids, which offer both fun and intense trails that will leave you with incredible memories of your day of canoeing in Millau.
